It's best if you measure your air filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size". With the 4" and 5" air filters there is a wider variance depending on the manufacturer. Nordic Pure Honeywell Replacement MERV 12 rated air filters are traditional 5” filter at an actual 4 3/8”. You should always measure your current filter or the housing to make sure the actual size correlates with the filter you are ordering. Nordic Pure pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy-duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. There is a metal mesh grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. Our AC filter media prevents the growth of bacteria or mold, resulting in a much healthier living environment. MERV 12 furnace air filters are comparable to HVAC filters with the rating of MPR 1500-1900. This high-performance HVAC replacement filter will help keep your air conditioning and heating systems running efficiently, saving money on utilities and costly maintenance. The effective life of your AC air filter depends on both the inside and outside conditions in which you live. It is important to regularly change your furnace air filters especially during any home improvements for fresh, clean air in your home or office. We recommend that you change your air filter every 3-6 months to maintain maximum efficiency and economy.
Nordic Pure 20x25x5 MERV 12 Honeywell Replacement AC Furnace Air Filters: IMPORTANT NOTE: Almost ALL filters are a fraction of an inch smaller than the nominal size printed on the filter. It is best if you measure your filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size" listed above. With the 4-Inch and 5-Inch filters there are many different exact sizes for the different HVAC manufacturers. Because of this, your filter may say 20x25x4 on it but really be the same as our 20x25x5. This is why we ask you to measure your filter so you aren't surprised if the filter doesn't fit! You may also want to look at our Honeywell replacement 20x25x5 filter. Just check the "Actual Size" before ordering. Nordic Pure air filters are made out of an electro statically-charged synthetic material that draws airborne particulates to it like a magnet. Electrostatic filters help trap airborne particles to protect your family from allergy causing pollen, fine dust, smoke particles, airborne plant spores, bacteria, and some viruses. A MERV 121 Nordic Pure air filter captures airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns! Our air filters do not kill germs, however, the filter media does not permit the growth of bacteria or mold. As a result, it is not necessary to add any potentially irritating chemicals to the air filter to kill germs.

How to Measure Your Air Filters for Perfect Fit and Filtration
KNOW YOUR AC/FURNACE AIR FILTER SIZE
Your air filter size should be printed on the side of your current filter. Locate the NOMINAL SIZE and the ACTUAL SIZE (This matters!)
NOMINAL size is rounded to the nearest whole number (ex: 20x25x5), but the ACTUAL size typically has fractions or decimals for accuracy. Use this number to verify the correct air filter size for your unit.
CHOOSE YOUR MERV FILTRATION
MERV is a filter rating that has been established as the industry standard. The Higher the MERV, the higher the filtration.
Please note limits of your HVAC system. Higher MERVS, may require heavier duty, or even industrial grade systems. A MERV 14, for example, may overwhelm or damage a weaker residential system. You alone are responsible for knowing your system recommendations.
